Hi,

I was reading your article on skirting boards below.

Choosing Skirting Boards

I like the Richard Burbidge skirting that you have pictured. Are you able to provide any further details on the skirting mainly the skirting name or product code?

I am having a problem getting Richard Burbidge to match the picture to any of their catalog items.

Hi Farhan,

That product was available in 2014 – so it’s possible that Richard Burbidge has now discontinued it.

You might want to ask the salesperson to check with the marketing department, as they may still have the image and details on file.

Alternatively you could look at asking a local joiner to produce something similar.

Good luck!

Hi Chris,

Do you know if this product was a single skirting board or made up of multiple products?

I have tried sending the image to a few joiners but they have said it is quite intricate and I would need to provide a design drawing. Any ideas of how to explain this design based on machining spindles?

Richard Burbidge have not been much help with tracking this down.

Hi Farhan,

Sorry I missed the second part of your query! Now you mention it, I do think it was made up of two different products. It’s possible that the top section is a moulding (eg dado) repurposed rather than something sold as skirting.

I would have thought a joinery shop could produce a design from the image – but if not there are some companies out there that specialise in bespoke skirting.

Apologies I can’t be of more assistance.
