J&S House of Design kitchen

Background

This client approached us to assist in the design of a kitchen, dining living area in a 4 bed detached property that was in need of extensive renovation work. The property was to be extended at the rear to create a living dining kitchen area that the family would us in there day to day living.

We were asked to create a family friendly kitchen incorporating a central island and breakfast bar where their young children (2) could eat and play whist under the guidance of their parents. The appliances were to give the family al large larder fridge and freezer and cooking appliances were to provide the latest cooking technology incorporating steam, microwave and multifunction oven.

The furniture was to be of a handle-less design and the finish was to be o a slightly industrial feel incorporating a concrete look for part of the design.

Our Solution

Our approach was to create a design that would maximise the work surface area available whilst at the same time creating a light space. We incorporated a central island in a chunky timber look finish that would add an element of warmth and complement the other finishes within our design.
