Heat pump for rural cottage

Howard Smith had looked into a variety of renewable heating options for his picturesque off-gas self-build family home. Having quickly dismissed air source heat pumps, Howard, the owner of Smith Builders met Kensa Heat Pumps at a trade show. After talking to a member of the team Howard realised that a ground source heat pump was the right heating system for his rural property.

Labour of love:

After buying the plot at auction it took three years to get planning permission to build his countryside home of dreams. Nevertheless, the beautiful new-build property was built and consists of two-storeys with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.  It features underfloor heating throughout which is ideal for partnering with ground source heat pumps.

Evo in the wild:

After expert advice from Kensa, Howard installed the 13kW ENA Connect & Notify-approved Kensa Evo ground source heat pump into his self-build home. The land at the front of the property was ideal for slinkies to be installed. With Kensa Heat Pumps’ advice and support Howard was able to use his own equipment to dig the trenches for the slinky installations.

Declaration:

“I was impressed with Kensa’s knowledge and passion for their product and their professional, consultative approach.”
