TEK Passiv Render

The Kingspan TEK Building system is the premium product range within our portfolio. For Passivhaus performance this is the system we recommend. It is also possible to use TEK as a roof solution in conjunction with our ULTIMA wall system for room in roof applications.

The system comprises of an injected high performance rigid urethane insulation core,  bonded to 15mm structural oriented strand board (OSB) on either side. The result is a very strong structural element with thermal performance built in.

Durability and performance are independently assured as the Kingspan TEK Building System is recognised by all the major building warranty providers such as NHBC, Building Life Plans and Premier Guarantee as well as holding BBA Certification.

The insulated spline jointing detail ensures minimal thermal bridging through the insulation layer and results in a very airtight building shell.

System Benefits

The system is consistent with our value creation ethos, promoting a number of key benefits, including:

  • Exceptional thermal performance with wall and roof U-Values of 0.21 – 0.10 W/m2K with typical Y-Values ranging from 0.05 – 0.01

Fire Performance

The Kingspan TEK building system benefits from large scale structural fire testing* and therefore the designercan specify the internal finish with confidence about Building Regulation compliance. 30 minutes REI performance is easily achieved with only a single layer of 12.5mm standard plasterboard fixed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. 60 minutes fire resistance is achieved with a single layer of 12.5mm fire resistant board.
