The Potton Self Build Academy is our dedicated teaching centre and home to a regular programme of workshops and courses. These cater for the novice as well as the experienced self builder and include sessions on finding a plot, successfully navigating the planning system, what happens after planning permission is granted and project managing your build.

Whether you’re completely new to self build or a veteran of numerous projects, we can help. Our courses are delivered by trainers with many years’ experience in the field, including Potton managing director Mark Stevenson and Potton self build director Paul Newman.

Taking part in a workshop enables you to ask questions of our experts in the moment and share experiences, gaining immediate answers to your issues, as well as meeting other self-builders on the same journey.

Afterwards you have the opportunity to tour our fully furnished show homes and discover features to inspire your build.

All workshops and courses are free and take place over a half or full day at our Self Build Academy.
