Westcoast Windows’ Swedish composite windows and sliding doors were the perfect solution for this two phase development of a distinctive contemporary holiday home on the Norfolk Broads.
Westcoast Windows worked closely with their distributor partner, the client and architect on the Sunnybank project, where the first phase involved renovating this individual home on stilts.
The second phase focused on creating the lower floor to produce a unique upside down house with beautiful views across the River Bure.
The project was specified with Westcoast Windows’ triple-glazed Design series. Developed with contemporary architecture in mind, it features a deeper glass unit to create a minimal step between outer glass and frame for maximum light, a flush finish and elegant lines.
Additionally the triple-glazed composite windows and doors were chosen for their high performance, exceptional energy efficiency and suitability for taking advantage of the stunning waterside views.
The low maintenance aluminium exterior was finished in the stylish dark grey RAL 7012 and the interior finished in clean, fresh white to complement the stunning contemporary open plan living area.
Large composite sliding doors glide effortlessly to create a bright, airy feel to the living area and open out onto the veranda to connect with the outside and the beautiful waterside views.
The client was delighted with the Westcoast Windows products and fitting provided by Westcoast Windows’ approved distributor partner, Aluminium Clad Windows by TWN.
“I would just like to thank all the team at TWN Aluminium Clad Windows for their help from the initial quotation stage through to installation,” says the client. “I am very happy with the overall appearance and specification, which complements the architectural style of my house.
“The windows and doors have allowed me to achieve my desired end result with large openings that give an uninterrupted view of the outdoors.”
