Should I convert my garage?

Generally speaking, which is likely to be a cheaper/easier option:

1) Convert double length garage, relocate and install new kitchen and utility room, remove existing kitchen and convert to reception room

2) Build an external porch, knock out the internal entrance hall to make the front half of the house an open plan kitchen/dining space, install new kitchen, relocate and install new utility room and downstairs WC

Thanks!
