I just bought an acre of land with planning permission to build a large house, I had a quote for £18,600 for site clearance including, hedges, shrubs, rubble, stable and concrete base to give rough "blank canvas" for the start of building work.

It also states allowed for removal of 5 grab hires, 40 yards skip for green waste, toilet hires for two weeks, digger 15ton, dumper 8ton, stump grinder, and walk-behind chipper.

Do you think the quote is overpriced for the work involved?
