Planning Advice for Temporary Mobile Home

Hi, I recently watched an Amazing spaces programme in which the builder and owner of a converted railway carriage did not need to submit architectural drawings, but he did need planning permission.

I’m doing a similar thing myself, but I plan on using either a flatbed trailer, or a mobile office, which can be moved. So I’m probably looking for permission for a temporary dwelling which will stand for over the 28 day mark.

I know I will need planning permission, but architectural drawings? Technically the building already has a structure, so will this be needed?

The plan is to keep the building low cost and use salvage wherever possible.

I’m getting a bit confused with it all so if anyone has any knowledge or experience with the planning consent side of things I’d be really grateful if you could help.
