We get asked so many questions about our laundry chutes, daily, and we always try our best to ensure every question that gets asked, gets answered.

Here are just 3 of our most frequently asked questions:

1. How do you finish off the bottom of a chute?

A customer has 3 options on how they would like their chute to end. The first option is to have it on show, so you will see approximately a metre of pipework coming down from the ceiling. This enables people to bring friends and family round to show them how lucky they are to have a beautifully designed and flawlessly installed laundry chute in their home😉.

The second option is to have a hidden end, so some people will put in a floor to ceiling cupboard unit so you can’t see the end of the chute, but when you open the door, you’ve got your basket hidden in there and your laundry will fall into the basket, ready for going into the washing machine.

Now, the ultimate option, is to have TWO laundry chutes coming down from the ceiling on show. This means you can pre-separate your whites and your colours, making yours or your house-keepers life easier…because who doesn’t HATE having dull whites?!

2. Can a ‘DIY-er’ or tradesman install a laundry chute?

This is actually a very common question!

The quick and simple is, OF COURSE! All of our laundry chutes are really easy to install. With the Smartchute, you simply just drop it from the floor below and secure with a wall bracket. However, with our Laundryshoot and Python chute, you essentially start from the bottom, secure the first bit of pipe to the wall with the wall brackets, and then it’s a really easy, modular, pipe system that you just work up the building using clamps and wall brackets. The beauty of our system is there’s no cutting required, meaning there’s no risk of a fire, or losing a finger! The best part is, if you ever need any assistance, we are always available via phone or email. Not only this, but we also have a full comprehensive installation video where you learn everything you need to know to install your laundry chute, but essentially, it’s a piece of cake!

3. If I order a laundry chute, how quickly can I get the parts?

We have a warehouse FULL of 300mm laundry chute parts and we have the 250mm and 300mm Smartchute on the shelf so if you want a Smartchute or a Laundryshoot, we can generally get the parts out to you within 48 hours, all over the UK, no problem at all. If you have specific requirements, or you want a specific diameter of chute that’s not on the shelf, I would say you’re averaging between 10-15 working days for us to get that fabricated and delivered out to you, however we do ensure we cause no undue delay on the building site.

We hope this has answered a few of your questions! If you have any more, please don’t hesitate to ask them by either messaging us via social media, giving us a call or by email!
