Nigel Griffiths, Build It’s sustainability expert, will be on hand to discuss your eco self build plans. Nigel is director of the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance and a consultant for energy efficiency policy and evaluation. He specialises in sustainable construction, renewable energy and building performance.

Looking for guidance on heating solutions? David Hilton will be on hand at our Heating Advice Clinic across both days of Build It Live to help with any heating queries you have to ensure you make the best decision for your sustainable self build project. Do gas boilers still make sense? Is a heat pump the right fit for your home? Can woodburning stoves be eco friendly? Get the answers to all these questions and plenty more.

David is a renewables and ventilation installer, with over 35 years’ experience. He is a member of the Gas Safe Register, has a Masters degree in Sustainable Architecture, and is an authority in sustainable building and energy efficiency, with extensive knowledge in building fabrics, heat recovery ventilation, renewables, and also conventional heating systems.
