Inside a Bespoke Spiral Staircase Installation

At Paradigm Stairs, we design and craft bespoke spiral staircases that combine practicality with considered, refined design. Our recent installation in a characterful cottage demonstrates the level of detail and quality we aim for in every project.

This staircase features solid oak treads that introduce warmth and texture to the interior. The supporting steel structure is powder-coated to complement existing elements within the room, allowing the staircase to sit naturally within the space.

To maintain an open feel, we incorporated curved toughened glass balustrades and matching half-risers. These offer safety and stability while allowing light to pass through, preserving the cottage’s bright and welcoming atmosphere. The powder-coated posts and curved handrail continue the clean, cohesive design, completed with precisely cut 10mm toughened glass infill panels for clarity and durability.

A detailed site survey allowed us to create an accurate template for the space, ensuring the fabrication matched the room’s dimensions perfectly. The compact footprint of the spiral form helps maximise available floor area, offering an efficient and comfortable solution where space is limited.

Our installation team completed the fitting with careful attention to alignment, finish, and overall presentation. A matching landing balustrade provides continuity, tying the staircase into the rest of the interior.
