We are in the process of buying a house with underfloor heating, which was laid in 1998. Is it OK to lay fitted carpets on a heated floor?
There’s no problem with this – just don’t use glue to hold it down, because the glue can melt. If your carpet is hessian-backed, use gripper rods to keep the carpet in place. Also, make sure the carpet is no greater than 1 tog so you can still benefi t from the UFH.
