External Blinds for Windows & Doors

Fixscreen external blinds are motorised, wind-resistant roller blinds designed for vertical glazing – including large windows, sliding doors and curtain walling. They’re fitted on the outside of the building, so they intercept sunlight before it reaches the glass, which helps cut solar heat gain, reduce glare and prevent rooms overheating in summer. That’s particularly useful for homeowners planning big expanses of glazing in extensions, new builds and garden-facing living spaces.

Fixscreen is suitable for windows and curtain walling and can also be installed on outdoor structures such as pergolas and outdoor living rooms to add shade and comfort when you want to spend time outside.

A single blind can cover windows up to 22m², and the system is designed to be low maintenance and withstand harsh conditions, including winds of up to 130 km/h. Frames are made from powder-coated aluminium with robust screen fabrics, and the product is CE certified, tested to European standards and carries a 7 year warranty.

Options & operation: Choose from a wide range of colours and high-performance fabrics. Operation is simple via remote control or wall switch, with smart-home compatibility (including Google Assistant, Alexa and SmartThings).

Installation: Fixscreen can be recessed into a soffit for a cleaner look, or surface mounted for retrofit projects. Because it’s not freestanding, it needs suitable fixing grounds (typically masonry, steel or timber), which Kensington Blinds will confirm at survey.
