I have recently completed a conversion where I had to build an inner wall inside the existing cavity wall. This has given me two cavities. I am considering cavity wall insulation in the outside cavity – is this a good idea and is it something I can tackle myself?

Unfortunately this isn’t a DIY job. The best insulation to use in this case would have to be administered by a professional contractor, who will assess your inner and outer walls and cavities and give you a quote for injecting them with suitable insulating material.
