A matter of time

Our mortgage provider is asking how long it will take to build our three bedroom detached house. A builder will be constructing the shell and making it watertight, and then we will use tradesmen to finish off the work. How long will this take?

Answers

The time it will take you to build your new house will depend on the quality of your management skills and the efficiency and reliability of the men you employ, not to mention your own skills and labour, but if it is traditional construction I think between 10 to 12 months sounds realistic.
