Hi,
When have builders replacing all the floor joists in a large room 4m wide. They put one floor joist in but said it was really difficult and had to widen the hole in the wall to fit it in. They ave then continued by cutting all the floor joists in half and so in the middle of the room the ends of the joists are resting on a small central wall.

Is this the done thing? Will this give a good strong result? Thanks for your elp
