21st-22nd February 2026 - time to get your dream home started!
BOOK HEREAt SIPS Eco Panels, we were thrilled to be part of this extraordinary coastal project on the Isle of Arran. Nestled in the picturesque village of Lamlash, this stunning home is a true showcase of bespoke design, precision engineering, and energy efficiency — all set against Scotland’s dramatic island landscape.
Working closely with Q Build, architect George Skinner, and the award-winning interior design team at Studio LBI, we engineered and supplied the full SIPs structure for this unique property. Built to withstand the demanding coastal climate, our system delivered outstanding strength, airtightness, and thermal performance while supporting the architect’s striking contemporary vision.
We provided 194mm SIP external wall and roof panels, 254mm open-web joists, 22mm chipboard flooring, and carefully designed steelwork and laminated beams to accommodate the home’s expansive glazing and open-plan layout. The site’s remote island location presented logistical challenges, with every delivery transported by ferry — a perfect demonstration of how adaptable our offsite system can be.
The home blends comfort and performance through its precision-engineered SIPs structure. Exceptional insulation and airtightness ensure consistent warmth and efficiency, supported by underfloor heating and an air source heat pump — creating a quiet, energy-efficient space that’s as comfortable as it is sustainable.
This project beautifully illustrates what can be achieved when thoughtful design and SIPs technology come together — creating a luxurious, sustainable home built to thrive in its environment.
