Young couple Hannah Jones and Theo Hodnett used Shropshire council’s innovative ‘build your own’ initiative to get onto the UK housing ladder.
The couple were able to carve a plot of land from Theo’s parents’ garden, and then used the Shropshire scheme to enable them to build an affordable 100m2 home for just £122,500.
The floorplan makes clever use of what’s a relatively compact space, with full-length rooms running from the back to the front of the house. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a bathroom.
