Can I claim VAT on Architect’s fees?

   Hi Karen,

   Thanks so much for your question. VAT laws are very black and white in regards to this. Architects, Surveyors, Structural Engineers, consultancy and supervisory services are always standard-rated because they offer a service rather than supplying materials and labour. As such, this is a set fee which is not eligible for VAT reclaim.
