Our questions relate to identifying best sources and input for enabling more informed decisions on a new build (dormer-bungalow) following less formal routes.

A project utilising:

1. Passivhaus + principles;

2. Best Solar PV app's;

3. Recycled building materials;

4. Most cost-efficient /effective energy storage app's;

5. Without using mains utilities/waste services; ie: essentially self-sufficient in terms of mains facilities/etc.

There is also an anticipated requirement for electric vehicle energy creation/recharging (though obviously part of the PV app's) and energy storage facilities, particularly for longer periods of time ( ie: assuming excessive winter weather for two - three months).

We have been pondering over this project for a good number of years now and are aware of numerous developments (inc: Black Silicon PV - via Natcore et al, Graphene developments, more recent energy storage advances/etc) but are now seeking to make proper initial steps to better refine options and begin to effect the projects early stages. Your input would be invaluable in contributing to such, if you are wiling.
