Multi award-winning studio Lapd Architects have transformed what was formerly a tired-looking barn into a modern living space that gives the owners the wow factor they sought.

The team reorganised the entrance to increase the house’s kerb appeal and create a more welcoming approach. They also reconfigured the internal rooms to improve the connection of the spaces and achieve a more appealing flow throughout the building.

Natural light now floods in through cleverly-positioned rooflights, windows and doors to create a bright and airy space in which to relax and entertain guests.

A new garden room links seamlessly to a private and secluded outdoor area, which benefits from afternoon and evening sunlight.

The characterful property has been completed to a very high standard and the design allows the occupants to express their own personality through the interior finishes and fittings.
