BOOK YOUR SLOT HEREWe have been constructing water supply and soakaway boreholes throughout the South East since 1984.
There are various reasons why people are prepared to spend money to construct a water supply borehole to abstract water from their own site. Some have commercial enterprises, such as fish farms or plant nurseries, while some have spent years nurturing their garden and don’t wish to watch it wither and die.
Provided the hydrogeology at the site is suitable, a borehole can be constructed and up to 20 cubic metres (20,000 litres) of water per day can be abstracted without the need for an abstraction licence.
We have constructed water supply boreholes, both domestic and commercial for clients which include water companies, large farm estates, golf clubs, garden centres and nurseries, fish farms, car washes and public houses.
Soakaways are used to direct surface water run-off from roof drainage or sewage processing plants into the sub-soil. There are four different ways we construct soakaways:
Conventional Soakaway: A conventional soakaway allows the draining of water into the surrounding soil.
Land Drainage: Land drainage consists of perforated pipework laid horizontally to allow soakage into the ground.
Seasonal Intrusion Systems: These comprise of land drains which run to a ditch. Generally, they are laid in less permeable soils to allow for times when increased rainfall may waterlog the ground surrounding the land drain, meaning that the excess water can run off into the ditch.
Borehole Soakaway: A borehole soakaway is used in areas where impermeable soils (clay) overlie permeable strata (chalk). In these cases the soakage must take place at depth and so a deep bore liner is used.
We have worked for various highways agencies and councils, constructing boreholes for road drainage or treated effluent disposal.
