This project was created as a forever home for a client who was looking forward to his retirement with his wife. After a consultation and an understanding of what home control technology could mean for them both the clients decided to proceed with incorporating lighting, heating and motor control into a singular system.
Using Niko all these aspects were integrated together and controlled through wall controls, mobile phones, tablets and voice as well as having sunrise/sunset settings and timer functions installed as additional scenes. With all the wall controls now linking back to a smart system the client is safe in the knowledge that changes can be made at any point and if an upgrade of a switch is required then it can be down without making a mess of the walls due to its tool less accessibility and laptop re-programming.
A smart home doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to know the ins and outs of all the technology on the market and you don’t have to understand how every detail gets put together in order for everything to work. When integrating different aspects of your home together, all you need to know is what you would like to control and from where. Installations like this make it easier to relax in your own home, knowing that everything is designed to work the way you want it to.
