The sheer size of this property meant it really did require a very robust and user friendly smart home system.
The Control4 system reaches out to 43 spaces around the property with over 200 channels of lighting circuits and 20 zones of entertainment, this is all connected up with over 11 kilometres of low voltage cabling.
The home benefits from the multiple features Control4 offers in entertainment, lighting, heating, security and further integration. Automating electric locks, garage doors and securing the property in tandem with the alarm system.
The homeowner benefits from Control4’s Mockupancy, learning their daily routine and replaying lighting scenes, entertainment scenes and even closing the blinds, all whilst the home owner is away.
The home owners audio and video is centralised, providing a single cupboard that stores all of his satellite boxes, DVD players and source equipment and then distributing this across the home.
Audio is delivered to each zone through a series of in-ceiling speakers that are discreetly installed into the ceiling. The home is then connected with streaming services from Spotify, Tidal and Deezer, worldwide digital radio from TuneIn as well the clients own private music collection.
We really enjoyed customising programming scenarios and event notifications for individual family members, which was possible due to Control4’s powerful automation programming.
One single scene includes over 30 circuits and the client was overwhelmed by the various ways Control4 can trigger the scene at home or away and also how easy it is to amend.
