Harmony

The couple Harmony Timber Frame worked with on this project aspired to build their dream home to suit the needs of their growing family. The client had recently visited one of Harmony’s completed houses, and appointed the team to deliver their project.

The owners wanted large openings on both elevations of their new home to maximise solar gains and enjoy countryside views. So, Harmony designed a sleek steel framed support structure that remained concealed in the external wall fabric and roof structure to allow them to provide grand apex window openings. This also allowed for an open-plan layout with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. Involving the design team and engineers early in the process meant Harmony could advise on the structural arrangement and help the client incorporate alterations to suit their final finishes and furnishings. This collaborative approach allowed the clients to complete the build exactly in line with their budget and timescale.
