   A few examples of window manufacturers with U-values of 0.7 or lower are Internorm – many of their window and door systems achieve U-values as low as 0.6W/m²K. Norrsken’s highest performing triple glazed windows have U-values as low as 0.64W/m²K. Green Building Store also have window ranges with U-values as 0.71W/m²K (GBS-98).

   When doing your own research, ensure that the U-value is for the whole window, rather than just the frame or the glazing alone. It’s also important that the windows you’re investing in are professionally installed by a qualified fitter who has experience with your chosen product. Poorly fitted windows may have gaps and cold bridges, increasing heat loss, preventing the window from performing to its full capacity.
