Hello, we own a brick built 50’s chalet bungalow with a footprint of approx 60m2 and we’re considering how best to extend the property to get the living space we require (currently there are 2 beds and an ensuite upstairs – we’re looking to create a four or five bed).

We’re considering a two storey side extension (the cost of which we’ve been able to guess at based on online calculators) or alternatively a roof over to add a whole full second storey to the bungalow (and we’ve no idea where to start with this one).

Has anybody got any experience with these types of extension? We’re interested in the cost implications for both scenarios – any experience or advice welcome!
