Hi Jan. Good question! I’m not actually aware of a website or other resource listing project managers who specialist in one of homes.
Most independent project managers come from a background of having been successful main contractors (or from having completed their own self build projects), so they tend to be local solo enterprises.
A good place to start might be to ask friends and neighbours if they’ve used a PM on their projects they’d recommend; or to look out for self build sites in your area and ask there. You could also do a web search for project managers in your area.
As it happens, I do know of one company not too far away from you. CLPM is based in south-west Hertfordshire, and I believe one of its PMs operates out of Berkshire. They help out at the Build It Live shows, presenting seminars on the topic of project managing a build, so they should know their stuff!
