Positioned directly off the front entrance, the staircase needed to maintain a clear and comfortable route through to the rear of the property. Every detail—from the diameter and rotation to the exact departure and arrival points—was carefully calculated to ensure safe head clearance and uninterrupted circulation. Despite its central location, the staircase feels open, light, and unobtrusive.

Upstairs, restricted headroom presented further challenges. Through precise engineering, the spiral geometry achieves the required two-metre clearance at critical points, meeting regulations without compromising on design or comfort.

Material choices enhance both performance and aesthetics. Solid oak treads introduce warmth and character, complemented by a slim, powder-coated steel structure. Curved toughened glass balustrades and half risers maximise light flow while maintaining safety, with a continuous handrail following the elegant line of the spiral.
