Oversized Oak Door in a Traditional Bungalow Renovation

This traditional family home underwent a complete renovation and extension to accommodate a growing family and to improve the flow of the internal living space.

The client wanted a contemporary feel to the door that would still work with the traditional styling of the exterior and they wanted the door to be BIG! As specialists in handcrafting oversized doors up to 1.5m x 3m tall, this objective was no problem.

The Porto door design was chosen for its modern, unfussy contemporary style along with clean and classic European oak to create the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional.

Internally, we recommended a white oil finish to lift the oak to match the light and bright interiors making this dual-toned door the perfect oversized entrance between old and new.
