At Broad Down Cottage, Carpenter Oak delivered two remarkable oak-framed extensions—a family room and a sitting room. These additions perfectly unite traditional charm with contemporary practicality, enhancing the existing living spaces to create inviting reception areas and vibrant, multi-generational social hubs.

Respecting the classic architectural style of the South Hams, the oak frames faithfully reflect the original building, complete with common rafters and sarking boards for a genuinely authentic appearance. Each aspect was thoughtfully executed so that the new extensions blend effortlessly with the established home, while also introducing a bright, fresh interior atmosphere.

The more spacious sitting room features sling brace trusses and slate flooring, imparting a sense of sophistication and making it an ideal place to unwind by the fire in the evenings.
