Passive EcoWall is an innovative building system developed by Ecological Building Systems, designed to deliver energy-efficient, comfortable, and environmentally responsible living spaces. Built around the principles of the Passivhaus standard, it achieves exceptional thermal performance, airtightness, and moisture control, creating healthier indoor environments while significantly reducing energy demand.

At its core, Passive EcoWall integrates high-quality materials such as Gutex wood fibre insulation, Finsa airtight racking boards, and Pro Clima airtight and windtight membranes. Together, these components form a robust, high-performance structure that minimises heat loss and reduces the risk of condensation—an essential consideration for the challenging climates of the UK and Ireland.

The system is highly adaptable, allowing designers to modify frame depth and insulation thickness to meet a wide range of thermal requirements, from 0.15 W/m²K down to 0.10 W/m²K. Suitable for new builds, timber-frame construction, and retrofit projects, it delivers excellent thermal and acoustic performance in all applications.

By incorporating natural, low-carbon materials such as wood fibre, sheep’s wool, and grass-based insulation, Passive EcoWall also reduces embodied carbon. Combined with expert technical support, it represents a forward-thinking solution for sustainable construction.
