Air source heat pumps provide efficient, low-carbon heating and hot water by extracting heat from the outside air. They can be a great option for self-builds, renovations and existing homes, but getting the design right is just as important as choosing the heat pump itself.
At IMS Heat Pumps, we aren’t tied to a single manufacturer. This gives our customers greater choice and flexibility, allowing us to recommend equipment based on the property, heat loss, available space, heating system and individual requirements rather than being restricted to one brand.
We work with a carefully selected range of established manufacturers whose products we know and trust, including Vaillant, Grant, Viessmann, Kronoterm, CTC, Clade and Ecoforest. Our strong manufacturer relationships mean we can offer extended warranties on many of the systems we install, together with access to technical support and established spare-parts networks. That’s important throughout the life of the system, not just on installation day, because if a problem does arise, we want to be able to resolve it quickly.
Every installation starts with detailed heat-loss calculations and system design. We’ll consider everything from heat pump sizing and positioning to flow temperatures and heat emitters. Air source heat pumps can work with underfloor heating or radiators, and we’ll assess whether existing radiators can be retained or whether any need upgrading.
We provide the complete service from initial design and specification through to installation, commissioning and ongoing servicing.
