In 2016, this family bought an old stone cottage in Northampton. They had plans to renovate and extend the house but had no intention of installing an intelligent automation system.
The clients brief included the implementation of a fully integrated electrical installation with lighting control, heating control, TV distribution and the option to have a multiroom audio system at a later date.
The team at Niko UK worked closely with the family electrician to ensure the smooth installation of Niko Home Control. They also provided all Niko paneling and programming. The team worked closely with a lighting designer to allow for complete flexibility and control over the 70 lights within the house, creating perfect mood lighting throughout.
The Niko products included in the project included Niko Home Control lighting; heating and a touch screen facility, as well as Sonos audio systems.
The client’s favourite features include the ability to control everything through the Niko Home Control App. The app allows the family to control lighting scenes, heating and monitor their energy usage.
