Rega Vent completed a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) installation as part of a comprehensive chalet bungalow renovation project. Thanks to the property’s generous eaves space, the design and installation process was particularly efficient, allowing us to create a discreet system that delivers exceptional indoor air quality without compromising the finished appearance of the home.

The extensive eaves area provided an ideal route for both the MVHR unit and the majority of the ductwork. By carefully utilising the space between the roof rafters, we were able to serve the upstairs rooms with minimal disruption, while ducts for the ground floor were neatly routed through the ceilings. Positioning the MVHR unit above a bathroom also offered a practical solution for managing condensation, allowing drainage to be incorporated seamlessly into the design.

A key priority throughout the project was ensuring the system operated as quietly as possible. To achieve this, Rega Vent installed acoustic ducting at the start of each duct run, helping to reduce sound transfer and maintain a calm, comfortable living environment throughout the home.

Attention to detail extended beyond performance alone. The homeowners selected white metal air valves that complemented the property’s white spotlight fittings, creating a clean and cohesive appearance in every ventilated room. These subtle finishing touches ensured the ventilation system blended effortlessly with the overall interior design.

Once the renovation works were complete, electrical power was connected and plasterboarding finished, our team returned to install the valves and carry out full commissioning of the system. The result is a highly efficient, well-ventilated home that benefits from fresh filtered air, improved energy efficiency and a discreet MVHR solution designed to support comfortable living for years to come
