The Residence Collection’s Timber Alternative Door

The Residence Collection Timber Alternative open-in door sash is now available across all three of The Residence Collection’s core systems – R9, R7 and R2. This range includes an array of colours giving homeowners more creative freedom than ever before.

Designed to complement The Residence Collection’s existing open-out door and window sashes, the new door features a chamfered profile for a cohesive look. The result is a door that not only looks elegant, but is engineered for lasting quality. Among its standout features are an authentic, oversized mid-rail, a deep stackable bottom rail and a patented decorative panel trim* that cleverly conceals the gasket line. This offers the appearance of a traditional moulded timber panel with added durability and energy efficiency.

When paired with the R7 frame, the new timber alternative open-in door achieves a flush finish inside and out, making it a sleek and high-performance solution. The bespoke 130mm mid-rail allows space for a full-sized letterbox, while the patented panel surround trim* delivers a heritage timber look that’s unique to The Residence Collection.

Homeowners will benefit from sash sizes of up to 900m wide and 2300mm high and an array of deesign options, including French doors. With choices for a low aluminium threshold, the doors are designed to be inclusive and suitable for all.

True to The Residence Collection’s high standards, the doors are fully PAS 24 tested and SBD compliant, and have passed rigorous testing to BS6374 for weather performance, durability and strength. Customers can choose between 28mm double or 44m triple glazing, and the doors are available with matching heritage style hardware – including Monkey Tail, Pear Drop and the new Knurled handle from the Regal hardware range.
