Starting Out – to Prefab or Not to Prefab?

We can’t believe we’ve actually secured land in Cambridgeshire, so we’re right at the beginning. We’re keen on prefab idea as have read some very good things, and like the element of speed of construction. Question: is this a safe thing to do in the UK (insurance/ resale / value etc), and can anyone vouch for companies such as Dan-Wood homes who seem very competitive and high quality?
