Graven Hill, the UK’s largest self and custom build site, is hosting a free seminar for people wishing to learn more about building a bespoke home.
The first “Self build for all” event will take place on Thursday 14th March, and will give attendees the opportunity to have their questions answered by architects and self build experts.
Due to high demand, the team of experts will also deliver the master class on Wednesday 3rd of April. Self builders wishing to attend are encouraged to book early, as places are limited.
Karen Curtin, managing director at Graven Hill said: “We’re keen to provide budding self builders with the information they need to get the ball rolling on their project.
“Over the course of the evening, our experts will explain all there is to know about self building – from deciding on that all-important plot of land, to setting a budget for the works – and sticking to it!”
The one-hour masterclass will cover the key areas of the build process, from start to finish – including plots, funding, planning and build choices – helping to dispel myths that surround self building.
Graven Hill is a pioneering housing development located on the outskirts of Bicester in Oxfordshire. Alongside self build plots, Graven Hill also offers buyers the opportunity to purchase custom build new homes – called Tailored Finish – which benefit from Right to Buy eligibility, enabling them to customise layouts and design.
Ms Curtin said: “We appreciate that the information people are looking for can’t always be easily accessed, so we have arranged for a team of financial professionals, architects and self build experts to strip back the jargon and get to the bare bones of self building.
“By the end of the evening, we hope to have given people who dream of building their own home the tools and the confidence they need to take the next step towards creating their dream home.”
Self builders can book their free seminar online or visit the Graven Hill Plot Shop at Franklins House, Pioneer Square, Bicester OX26 6JU.
