Chris Batesmith is Castle Media’s Content Director and Editor of Build It magazine. He’s a trained carpenter and experienced renovator and self builder, turning his hand to everything from plastering and tiling to plumbing and electrics.
In 2019, Chris project managed the completion of Build It’s very own Self Build Education House. He is currently renovating a Victorian fixer-upper in Kent.
Chris has worked in homes and construction media for over 20 years, focusing on self build, renovation and retrofit since 2009. He is an expert and speaker at the Build It Live shows, and chairperson of the Build It Awards.
